Our Commitment
To Accesibility

Last Updated 5/26/26

Nova Praxis Alliance believes that everyone deserves access to support, information, and the opportunity to do meaningful work  and that includes people with disabilities. We are committed to ensuring that our website is as accessible and inclusive as possible, and that the barriers people face in daily life are not compounded by barriers on our site.

We are actively working to align our website with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the recognized international standard for web accessibility, and to maintain that alignment as our site evolves.

What We're Doing:

We are taking the following steps to improve and maintain accessibility:

  • Clear structure and navigation — Pages are organized with consistent headings, logical reading order, and descriptive link text so that screen readers and keyboard navigation work effectively.

  • Text alternatives — We aim to provide meaningful alt text for images and non-text content so that information is not lost for people who use assistive technologies.

  • Color and contrast — We design with sufficient contrast between text and background to support readability for people with low vision or color vision differences.

  • Readable typography — Font sizes are set to scale with user preferences, and we avoid relying on small or decorative text for essential information.

  • Forms and interactive elements — Contact forms and interactive features are built to be keyboard-navigable and labeled clearly for screen reader compatibility.

  • Video and multimedia — Where we publish video content, we work to provide captions and, where feasible, transcripts or audio descriptions.

  • Plain language — We write in clear, direct language and avoid jargon where possible, in keeping with our broader commitment to meeting people where they are.

Known Limitations

We recognize that our website may not yet be fully accessible in every respect. We are a growing practice, and accessibility improvements are ongoing. If you encounter a barrier we haven't addressed, we want to know about it — your feedback is one of the most important tools we have for getting this right.

Alternative Access to Services

If our website presents a barrier that prevents you from accessing information or initiating contact with us, please reach out directly. We are glad to:

  • Provide information in an alternative format

  • Assist you in completing intake or scheduling by phone or email

  • Make reasonable accommodations to support your access to NPA services

We do not want access technology to stand between anyone and the support they're looking for.

Technical Information

This website is built using [platform/CMS, e.g., Squarespace / WordPress / Wix]. We rely on both our own accessibility practices and the built-in accessibility features of our platform. We acknowledge that no website is perfectly accessible for every user and every assistive technology, and we are committed to continuous improvement.

This statement was prepared in May 2026 and will be reviewed and updated as our site changes.

Accessibility is not a feature — it's a foundation. We're committed to building on it.
